Why Birthdays Are So Important In Your Journey

Welcome to Performance Marketer, home of the media arbitrage, lead generation surveys, and all that good stuff of working to get people to come in from cold traffic and convert those guys into the customers. Yeah, my name is Eric. Every day on this channel, we chat about how to get results. We are Performance Marketers. And today's an interesting day. It is my birthday. I wanted to come on today and talk about that. Because I think it's important. I think people don't appreciate it enough, right? Like not that you have to go and like, throw a huge party or whatever. But I believe it's a really big deal. And I will tell you why. I think that like just a whole day just living through it. The amount of calls and texts, and messages that I'm getting is just amazing. Amazing. It's just so nice to hear from people. It's really sweet. And the thing is that I don't talk to a lot of these people that I've gone through journeys within my life. And I missed them. And I forget about like all the things that I did in the past with people from different walks of life. And today's the day where like, it's just overwhelmingly hitting me and I'm trying to get work done. And it's just like, awesome. I'm not complaining, but it's just, you know, messages from all place. And I try to respond, I don't want to just like, do like a general response. I like to try to at least be personally customized, especially if I don't talk to people forever. And then, you know, they're reaching out and they're thinking of me on my birthday. It's really nice, you know, and it touched home. And it got me to thinking about one year like, where am I going? What am I doing? Every call every text, every whatever you get, that is just a piece of like, your legacy. It's a piece of you touching somebody in this world in some capacity, that they feel like they're gonna send you a message, call you text, you stop by whatever, right. And I think it's really powerful. Because we lose sight of what we're doing here. And, you know, we're doing all these things to just get by, make money, you know, buy a house, put your kids to school, throw weddings, whoa, you know, whatever, you know, and life gets hard. And we don't realize that even when we're doing that no matter what's going on, you're making an impression on somebody, and you're touching somebody. And it's almost like you should have a goal of how many people can I make an impact on from today, my birthday, till the next birthday. You know, let's say you set a goal of you to impact one person a day. That means I'm going to have 365 people by next year that I have helped in some capacity, better their life. And it could be anything could be in any way. For me, I'm doing it right with online marketing and performance marketing with using surveys, right? Survey Detective, which is going to be launching soon, hopefully. But yeah, and I just you guys know, I'm writing a book, right? And I just finished talking with my book architect after like three hours, trying to like lay out the framework of what this book looks like because there's just so much information. And it's like, what do we put in there? How do we position it? Like, we want to give people a lot of information, but not too much information. Right? And you know, how to spend my birthday. It's fun. We actually went live for a few minutes and think about like, showing that journey. I might even start doing some of these live, you know, to just interact with others in real time. Funny, someone asked me yesterday, are you a bot? This guy who's got like pizza shops? And no, I'm not a bot. This is me. This is me. I try to get to everybody. But it's hard. You know, depending on the messages there are. If you're asking questions, just like, don't ask seven questions, click can't type them in, let me type all that and it's just hurts my head. But if you want me to answer one question, so you know that I can summarize it, or asked me to do some video on it. Yeah. And I'll do it. But so, birthdays are important. You know, it's, you know, the reason why is like, you have no idea what the future holds. Right? And it's a moment every year to kind of take a step to celebrate life, to celebrate your family, celebrate your friends celebrate everything, right? And people always again, it's just another day. Yeah, I get it. It's it is just another day, and you don't want to make a big deal about it. Right? But bad stuff happens to people all the time. This could be your last birthday, right? And if it is, you make it worth your while. And if you can take that into Hey, buddy. Sorry, guys, I got a visitor wishing me happy birthday. Hi, hey, my little guy, Ozzy, you know, if it's if it's your last birthday, you make it the best you can, right? You know, we don't know what the future holds. Right? But we do know what's going on right now, today. And you can have the best time of your life. And if you do, then, whatever, you'll have a great memory. And it'll last forever. Right? And you can celebrate it with some loved ones don't take it for granted. You know, celebrate your birthday. even turn it into something else. Listen, if you don't like celebrating you on your birthday, then flip it right. Position as because it's my birthday. I want to give you a gift. Right? And listen, I would do it. Right? I'm not selling anything yet. So, I can't give you that, you know, um, I wish I was right. Like, I wish I had like a whole like, like, taped videos that I can give you to like help you like grow your business and scale it and make massive returns. Right? I have the all the stuff that I've been doing here with podcasts and YouTube videos, right? But it's packaged into one little like login to membership is not there yet. Although I'm working on it, I'm working on it, and want to have it. So, an expert that can give it to you. Yeah, but you know, Listen, guys, I just, I just want to come on and just tell people that are there like, enjoy this. Enjoy this time. Enjoy the moment live in the moment live for yourself. Like you don't know what is going to be in the future. If people are reaching out to you and they want to like, celebrate you let them enjoy it. Embrace it, right again. It's like when people sing happy birthday. It's weird. Like, my dad calls his girlfriend and they just happy birthday to me. It was so funny. I just listened to it. And when they when they're done like guys, just I'm just curious, like, what's the feeling you guys have when you're singing happy birthday to me? Because I know like if I like called you up and I was like Happy birthday to you after, like, you know, just goes on for long enough that it's like, OK, we doing nothing. Right? But it's, great. It's sweet. It's nice. Now, it's funny. Cards. You know, it's really interesting how the world goes round. Because today with our digital world, right? If someone sends you a card, that means they were thinking about you at least three, four days earlier, to be able to go by the card, write the card, put it in the mail, stamp it and send it. Isn’t that cool, right? Like, back in the day. It was like whatever for now, that shows that somebody like really knows your birthday and was thinking about you. Right versus like, it pops up on your Facebook page, like Oh, happy birthday, happy birthday, or whatever. Not that it's not genuine. It's just, you know, I'm saying it's different. It's an exciting day. I'm embracing it. I'm gonna have fun with it. I've been working all day, going to go and hang out with my family and do some fun stuff. It's a Friday, so we're gonna look at a rock all weekend. But I just tell you guys do like, have fun. Enjoy life. You know, you work your butt off. And there's times you guys gotta just take a step back and celebrate. Celebrate you, celebrate your family, celebrate everybody and you know, yeah, that's it for today, man. I just wanted to put that out. It's important, you know, you guys, it's healthy. So, happy birthday to me. If it's your birthday, happy birthday to you, if your birthday was earlier, have a birthday, if your birthday is coming up, we're looking forward to it. But enjoy it. Enjoy your moments.
