My Little Hack To Consume Content Quickly

I wanted to jump on right now because I am sitting here for the last few hours. And I've been consuming a massive amount of content. And I had a quick break. And I wanted to share with you a process. And I'll demo for you what I figured out and a way I could do it, where I'm getting so much done. And I'm able to skip through all this stuff that I don't need. So listen to the theme song. And when we get back, I'm going to tell you about my hack on how you can consume tons of content.

So, if you guys are like me, when you're trying to watch a video, you start to watch a video and you get sucked in. Or you're watching a video, you look and you see it's an hour and 30 minutes. And the first 30 minutes are all around the preframe of the story, the idea of getting me to believe. But a lot of the times I already know the person that's talking, and I don't need to be convinced about believing and getting the mindset. I'm already there, I want to get right to what I'm interested in what I want to listen to, right, I want to be able to skip over. And for the longest time, I've had major issues with that where it takes up my entire day. So I'll get into video, I'll start watching. And then an hour and a half later, I've wasted tons of time. And if I wanted to go on it take me all data to consume the content that I wanted. And I figured out this tool. So I want to explain it to you guys, because I'm excited. And I want to show you exactly how it's done. So I'm going to share my screen. And we're going to dive in here. Let me open up my screen here to share. Okay, now my hack to consume content quickly. So as we go through this, I want to show you exactly what this is. And I want to tell you a little story first. So when I watch TV at home, I can't hear it's it's a problem for me. So I put the subtitles on everything that I watch. And my kids and wife have gotten so used to it that they too will watch shows and movies with the subtitles. And anytime anybody comes over, they're like, Why are the subtitles on, and they'll make a joke. Like they didn't even recognize that it's on because me, we can't hear that great. And I need it. Now they're used to it. And it just kind of funny when you start doing this over time, like you kind of forget that that's not the norm. But the point is, is that when I'm watching a show, and they say something that I wasn't sure what they said, I'm still reading it, and I can comprehend it much better. And what this does, this hack that I figured out is very similar concept, where I found a tool that I can take videos from online and be able to put them somewhere that it transcribes the video. And I'm able to watch this video in a very quick period of time. And the site is called temi t e m i, dot com. So here's the site. Okay, temi.com. And this is a cool tool that you guys should know about. It allows you to take any of your videos that you have on your computer, like this one that we're talking to right now or the cool part is you can go and take a link off the internet of a video that's not yours and put it into this platform and be able to allow this to transcribe it. So you can watch it on Temi while you're able to read at the same time. So I'm going to show you the process of how it works. Ultimately, you would go to let's say you go to YouTube, and you search a video right I searched Tony Robbins. This came up, Tony Robbins Best Motivational Video, the Speech to Inspire the Masses. Now, who wouldn't want to listen to that, of course, right? But then I look down here and I see, it's an hour and 20 minutes. And I don't know about you, but I don't have an hour and 20 minutes, to certainly sit down and listen to this in my day, and I want to listen to it. And I got to find time. But as you all know, there's time is of the essence. So I hit this button right here share. And what happens is, this pops up. Now, you take this link, you copy this link, where you could share it if you want, but you copy this link. And then you go to Temi, and you click New Order. Now they ask you if you want to upload a file or paste URL, so you click paste URL, once you click that, you enter the URL into space, you click Add, and it pops up and tells you based off of this, they charge 25 cents a minute, it's going to cost you $20 and 50 cents for an 82-minute video. So if you're okay with paying that, then you press OK, you check out you go through the process. And thank you your order was successful, your transcript will be delivered soon, and you'll be charged upon delivery. So what happens is inside here now, in their dashboard, they show the video, the order date, the length, and the processing, it takes about I'd say about five minutes depends on how long the video is maybe less, probably less on the shorter ones. And then what happens is you come to this page where you have this video with this transcribed all the way from front to end. So let me show you how I do this and how I consume so much content so quickly. And you could do this with anything, we're on this dashboard. This is the live dashboard of this video went through that entire process very simply. And I can press play right here, you can go back here is something that I do. And I do it where I do to the max, they only let you do two times, which ultimately cuts it in half. So this hour, 21-minute video, I'm going to be able to watch in half the time, right? So what is that 80 minutes? So it's going to take 40 minutes for me to watch this from front to back. If I want to watch the entire thing. What's cool about it is I can also go through here, and I can start reading to figure out what I want to listen to and what I don't want to listen to quickly. Right. So if I want to skip it any time, I can do that, until I find what might be interesting to me with certain keyword topics. But so in any of them, as they go through this process, they start this I'm gonna put it on to x. So they fly this. But what's cool about it is as you watch this moves as it's going, so I'm reading, as I'm listening to this, to pay attention to what he's saying, if there's anything that I need to listen to, I'll go back. But the beauty of it is I can fly through this. And also, I'm consuming this in a way where I'm getting it, I'm remembering it, it's not like I'm flying through this. And just skipping through this process quickly. I'm actually retaining what I'm listening to when I'm going through this. So this is a really cool thing. And it's helped me dramatically consume content, the speed in how I can get things done, has changed my life. It's amazing. And there's other ways you can use it. I mean, if you're, if you're out on the internet, and you're trying to hack a partner, and they have an awesome video, take the video and put it into me and transcribe it. And now you have something to model. You can do this for anything. And, you know, I really I just, I was so excited about it's been saved me so much time I've been so efficient. And I'm able to like fly through here, like to the point where all right, I'm gonna go up to eight minutes, I can click here. And immediately I'm on the eight minutes. And it takes me here. I just skipped that. And now, right, so this is amazing, he's flying. And I'm able to just watch this and read this and consume it. The what I really hope for is that they increase the speed if they increase the speed to three or four x, where you really can understand that if you're listening to it, but it flies through, I can read it and watch it while I'm listening and consume it. And if I want to slow it down, I can, but at 4x, that would be amazing. I mean, that would ultimately take me from an 80-minute video to be able to watch it in 20 minutes. And there are some platforms that allow you to do that where it can go faster. So there could be instances where if you found a book, like an audiobook, and you can put it on a platform that allows you to do it at 4x, then you can have this transcription. And you can move it along with the book as they're reading it. So you can read while it's flying through, which is, I mean, it saves time, it gets away all the noise that you don't really need to listen to. And it gets right to the point of things that you want, at the time that you want to listen to it. So I just thought this was really cool. And I wanted to show it to you guys. Because it's changed my life, I'm able to consume so much more content in a day. And I'm getting a lot more done. And I hope that someone out there that's struggling with the same thing that I was struggling with, get some value out of this, and then you can use it. So check it out. temi.com. t e m i, dot com.
