I know many of you are very eager to learn about quick and easy ways to make money.
But I’m also worried that a lot of you are going to make this very common mistake.
When starting a business, people often get caught up in unimportant things.
Working on their logo, their website, and various other admin things that don’t matter.
Definitely not in the beginning…
The most important thing you need to focus on when starting a business is cash flow!
This is why today, I’m going to share with you a simple, 3-step framework that will help you do just that.
I will provide a high-level overview that proves lead generation is the quickest and easiest way to create cash flow.
Let’s dive in!
The Number One Thing to Focus on When Bootstrapping a Business
New entrepreneurs keep making the same mistakes.
Everyone is very eager to make a lot of money and become successful. But people often don’t know what the most important thing to creating a successful business is.
If you’re starting with nothing, powered only by an idea, there’s only one thing that will make or break your business – your ability to create cash flow.
This right here, my friends, is the only thing that should concern you.
There are two key ways in which creating cash flow is crucial for your business:
1 – It takes the pressure off
2 – It provides proof of concept
Having a pretty logo or a well-designed website won’t do you any good if you can’t make money. For the first few years of running my lead gen business, I didn’t even have that.
I just hustled.
Once I was able to create a sustainable operation, all the admin stuff came pretty effortlessly. I now had a significant amount of money I could dedicate to setting everything up the right way.

My 3-Step Framework to Creating Cash Flow With Lead Gen
If you’re looking to make money quickly, lead generation is the way to go. I know because I’ve done it. It works!
The whole process comes down to three simple steps.
1 – Finding Traffic
The beauty of running a lead generation business is that you’re leveraging other people’s assets to make money. You can start with zero dollars in your pocket and still come out on top.
Instead of spending time creating traffic, you get ahead of the game by simply going to the people who already have it.
The critical thing here is to create relationships with content creators who own traffic.
Their business is already counting on promoting various offers to their audience to make money. You need to find out what works best for them, so you’ll know what offers to look for.
2 – Finding an Offer
The quickest way to find an offer is to simply Google top affiliate networks. There’s a ton of them out there, each with a bunch of offers for you to choose from.
Is it better to get an offer directly from an advertiser instead of going to an affiliate network? Sure.
But if you’re looking to make money quickly, you don’t have time to do that kind of leg work.
Focus on setting up a deal that works so you can create cash flow fast.
If you can do that, you’ll take the pressure off, and it’ll be a lot easier to find better deals.
3 – Getting the Offer in Front of the Traffic
You have the traffic, you have the offer, and now it’s time to make a deal.
Lead generation deals are pretty straightforward.
You’re leveraging advertisers’ money to gain access to content creator’s traffic and present them with an offer.
And the number one thing you need to remember here is that…
“Everybody needs to win.” – Eric Beer
Here’s how it works:
A – The advertiser wins because they’re getting access to their target audience
B – The content creator wins because they’re getting paid to promote the offer to their list
C – The audience wins because they’re getting a relevant offer
There’s still one last person that needs to win for this deal to work – and that’s YOU!
If you can set up a deal where you get more money from the advertiser than you need to pay to the content creator – you’ve done it!

What's up Performance Marketers? Welcome back to the podcast. Today, we're going to talk about how to make money quickly. So stick around, and we'll be right back.
I spent the last 17 years building my eight-figure performance business without using any of my own money, working with some of the most brilliant direct response marketers in the world today. Now I'm looking for entrepreneurs to join my affiliate on built on ethics, transparency, good old hard work, join me to change the perception of how people view the greatest business in the world, affiliate marketing, and follow along, as I learn, apply, and share performance marketing strategies, working with some of the brightest people on the planet. My name is Eric Beer, and welcome to the Performance Marketer Podcast.
If I needed to make money quickly, I would "dot dot dot." I'm asked that question all the time, I have one simple answer for it, which I'm going to get to in a second. But before I do that, let me just kind of like go through some backstory of how this works. The whole idea when you start a business, the number one most important thing is you gotta figure out a way to start generating cash flow, okay? Cash flow is king. Why? It helps you pay the bills, right? And allows you to do other things. But if you're out there, when you're starting a business, working on the logo, working on your website, working on all these admin things, you're going to lose, in my personal opinion, the only thing you should be focusing on when you first start your business. If you're bootstrapping it, right, this is not us going out and getting 100 million dollars that we can go spend on a business. That's not how we operate, right? As entrepreneurs, we just go at it, right? We got no money, we got no one investing in us, we just got to hustle, right? The number one thing you got to do is just focus on sales. That's it! Focus on sales. Okay, a few reasons. One is, obviously if you sell, you start generating some cash flow, you're making money. And now you can now give yourself a little bit of time, if something happens, right, like you're not just feeling all this pressure, make money, right? So that's huge. The second thing is, it proves that whatever you're doing works, if you can't sell, then you're just putting off the inevitable, right? So like, stop with building all these other things and spending your money to make things look so nice, and go sell and prove that whatever it is you're doing is working. And if you can prove it works, you're going to be able to scale it. And at that point, if you want to go make a pretty logo and a pretty website, go for it. For me, I didn't do any of that for the first few years of my business. And I just hustled. And I just needed to make money quickly. And that's how I'm going to show you guys how to do. Okay? So here it is, in a simple way. Boom. Hope you can see that. So essentially, number one thing, this is the way I got started, you have to find traffic. Okay? You see that right there? Okay, not a great artist. Those are eyeballs, impressions, traffic. To me, that is the most important thing. Okay. Without traffic, no one's going to see how awesome your offers are. No one's going to go and click and sign up for anything, and you're not going to generate any revenue. So if you want to start making money quickly, you want to start getting some eyeballs on your offer, you got to find traffic. And when you're doing that, you got to go where you're going to go and talk somebody for me when I got started. Right. I had some relationships with people that had traffic. So I would reach out to my partners, I would talk to them, I would try to understand what do they need? What's going on in their business? I would say okay, Hey, guys, like I see your your mailing to your subscriber list. Right? I see that you're driving traffic to your site, and they see there's display ads, right? Well, what kind of offers are working well, for you right now. They would come back to me and say, life insurance, auto insurance, all the insurance offers are doing really well. We're also doing really well in like the debt consolidation and the payday loan space. Right? Okay, great. I'm taking notes on that. Right? Because for me, the way I'm looking at it is I'm just going to be an extension of their sales team. Right? They have the traffic, I don't want to come out of pocket and spend any money right now. Right? I don't have any money, right? No money to spend, I gotta figure out to make some money. I got to figure out like scrub two coins or spit it out. Right? So I'm just trying to get some info and understand someone that has a lot of traffic and what they need to monetize that traffic because every publisher, okay, there's two things. They have the eyeballs which is the traffic but then I got To figure out how to monetize that, right? So what do you do? You go get an offer, you go find an offer, okay? If you don't know how to do it, go to Google type in the top 100, affiliate networks, it'll pop up a bunch of different links. And you'll be able to find all these different affiliate networks. And their job is they just go and get offers to promote to affiliates. So would it be better if you went direct to an advertiser? Absolutely, yes. But it's day one. Okay, before you start going and calling advertisers and hustling, and when working hard to knock down doors, find an offer that works. Okay. Yeah, the affiliate networks will take a margin, but they did all the work for you, they went and got the offer, they're teaming up for you, you know, you can likely get a higher payout later down the road. So if you can make it work with what they're giving you, then maybe down the road, you start to go direct, try to find other partners, right. But for now, we need to make money quickly. So we're gonna go find some offer. Okay. Next step is this, we find traffic, we get an offer, we're going on phone network, we get an offer. Number three is we take that offer, and we get that in front of the traffic. And that's it. Simple as that. Okay, you want to get your offer in front of as many eyeballs as possible. That's the simple framework on how you can make money quickly. Are there some devils in the details? Absolutely, right. Like when you're going and finding traffic, you got to figure out who's got the traffic. So you can go find an emailer or if you have a relationship, that's awesome. If you don't, you got to figure out who's got the traffic. We're not going to do that today. But okay, number two, we're going to go find an offer, we're going to want to fill in network, we're going to pick an offer that we know works, because we spoke to the person that is traffic, they're looking for it, we're gonna go get it. Okay. Number three, we're going to just do a deal to get that offer in front of people's faces. Simple as that. So as an example, for me, when I started my business, I needed to make some money, right? So first thing I did was I started calling people because I've been buying media for a few years now. So I luckily had a relationship with people that were able to generate eyeballs, impressions, so I would call them up and I would do a discovery call. Hey, guys, what's up, I'm on my own. I'm trying to make it work. Think of me as your your outside salesperson, but you're not gonna pay me anything. Okay, so what's going on? What do you need? Okay, so you know, I need insurance offers education offers, okay, so I take that, boom, I sit down at my desk, I start doing some googling, right, looking around for insurance offers looking around for educational offers, right? I had the luxury of being in the business. So I have relationships, right. So before I went to any affiliate networks, I hustled to go and try to connect with direct advertisers to do a deal. So I was able to secure a deal in the insurance space. So I got this deal. And I ultimately negotiated that deal in a way that they have the relationship with me. Okay, so that advertisers working with me, that affiliate network will be working with me, right? I don't tell them what's going on on my site. Okay, that's the value I'm bringing to the table. Right? So I negotiate a deal based on what I know, my partner over here needs. I'm already figuring out, Hey, I got this offer that an insurance, what do you need to get paid to run the offer? And they'll say to me, okay, to get a short form, submit, we're going to need $5? Well, okay, great for me to make money. I need to make more than $5 from the advertiser. Right? So I got to figure out, is this something that core, so when I'm communicating with my advertiser, I'm trying to get $6 $7 $8. I haven't even pushed back on the publisher yet. But I just want to hear what they need, what they want. Okay, so the best I can get, I take, okay, I explained to them the opportunity, I described everything that's going to happen outside of that, I don't tell them who that traffic source is. The only way I would is if I had an agreement with them, where they will not circumvent me for any new publisher that I bring, okay? Otherwise, you don't know these people. Right? And that's your value. That's what affiliate networks value is, right? That's the whole point. So you're kind of being like your own affiliate network by working with affiliates, and then going and getting traffic for them. And you're an extension of their distribution team. But so for me, I went and did that I got the insurance deal. Over here. I got a higher payout. I placed it on my publisher site, boom, they started generating traffic to my offer. I was so excited. I gotta tell you, I would go into the reporting and I would just keep pressing refresh. Please work, please work, right. So all of a sudden you start seeing impressions come through. Then all of a sudden you get 100 impressions. Okay? What's the conversion rate? So you see 10 leads come through, let's say, this insurance company was paying me seven bucks. Right? So 10 leads times seven, I just made 70 bucks. I still over here, I owe five bucks. So I'm plus 20. But I'm not doing anything anymore. I just hustled, did the whole thing created the market, put everybody together. And now I'm just trying to work the deal to get them to drive more traffic, trying to see is this working for you? It's not okay, why? And then if they tell me something, and I go back to the average, hey, we got some traffic, how's the quality? Do you want to do something else? Okay, here's, if you pay a little more money, we'll get more traffic? Or can we send them somewhere else? Do you have something else that's converting better? And I start doing some Biz Dev, right relationship management with this company? Over here. I'm working on what can work for you. How do we get more traffic? How can we get in front of more eyeballs, because more traffic, if you keep the same conversion rate will generate more leads for me, right. But I got to make sure that the advertiser has good quality. So I get that deal. And now boom, seven, five, I got to get about what 100 leads a day, and I'm making 200 bucks, is that right? Seven, five minus 2, I'm up 2 dollars, right? And I got 100 leads 200 bucks a day, if I got 500 leads, set $1,000 a day, it's not bad. 1000 bucks a day, times 30 is $30,000 a month. Not bad, right? $30,000 a month, times 12. Do the math guys, right? $360,000 on a simple little deal like that. That's how I would do it. That's how I recommend you guys do it. Okay? If you're not sure, find traffic first, owning traffic is the most unbelievable thing. But if you're just getting started, you're likely not going to own traffic. So you want to find somebody that has traffic, and you want to help them. Here's the simple thing that you need to understand. Everybody needs to win. That's how the deal will work. What does that mean? It means the advertiser wants to get good quality traffic, it needs to work for them. If it does, they're happy, they're winning, the publisher needs to make enough money for what they think their media is worth. If they're making enough money on your offer, they're happy, and they win. The person that's signing up for the offer, the consumer, they go, they sign up for the lead, they convert, they get some insurance, they need insurance, they got the insurance, we made that connection, they're happy because they got the best deal on the market, hopefully, but they just got insurance, they're happy. Who else needs to be happy? You! Me! It needs to be profitable! Win, win, win, win! All of us when the deal is going to work, it's going to go on for a very long time. And you're going to have recurring revenue every single day, just coming in as long as nothing changes. And deals end all the time. Okay? But until they do, could be a month could be six months, could be five years. I've had deals, going for five, seven years. It's possible guys. But then you're done. That's it! Now you can focus on other things to grow your business while you're generating some cash flow. So that's how you would do it. I hope you guys can listen to this.
